The Eden Valley Railway- Walking the Line 2005

The line between Clifton and Appleby is now difficult to walk due to most of it being part of the many farms along the line of the trackbed. The bridge has now gone over the River Eden at Temple Sowerby and the trackbed was used for part of the new road at Kirkby Thore. The track from Kirby Stephen East to Warcop is now part of Eden Valley Railway Society project to reopen this part of the line for passengers.
